Important Instructions for Seamless Application & Examination Verification
The official indicative notice highlights two critical directives regarding candidate identity verification:
- Aadhaar Verification Advantage: Candidates are strongly advised to verify their primary details using Aadhaar during online application form submission. This avoids inconvenience, manual documentation delays, and extensive scrutiny at every stage of the recruitment process for Non-Aadhaar Verified applications.
- 100% Name & Date of Birth Match Required: To achieve successful Aadhaar verification, the candidate's Name and Date of Birth in Aadhaar must match 100% with the Full Name and Date of Birth recorded in their Class 10th (Matriculation) pass certificate.
- Biometric Update Directive: Candidates should ensure their Aadhaar is updated with their latest photograph and latest biometrics (Fingerprint and Iris) before filling out the online application.

Job Location & RRB Choice Guidelines
Indian Railways recruits through 21 different Railway Recruitment Boards across India. Candidates must understand the posting implications:
- Single RRB Selection: Candidates can select and apply to only ONE Railway Recruitment Board. Applying to more than one RRB will result in rejection of all applications.
- Posting Within Zonal Railways: Selected candidates will be posted in the Railway Zones, Divisions, or Production Units mapped to the specific RRB they applied to. Candidates cannot later demand inter-railway transfers immediately after selection.
- Vacancy Check Before RRB Selection: Once the detailed CEN is published, candidates should carefully examine the category-wise vacancy distribution of each RRB before submitting their preference.
Common Mistakes to Avoid & Practical Precautions
Ensure you select CEN 07/2026 (Undergraduate) and not CEN 06/2026 (Graduate). Graduate posts require a Degree.
Aadhaar details must match your Class 10 certificate letter-by-letter. Update Aadhaar beforehand to prevent rejection.
If you do not possess computer typing speed, prioritize Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk in your post preference.
Server congestion on rrbapply.gov.in during closing days can cause payment failures. Complete registration well before 13 November 2026.
