This recruitment drive is NOT a regular or permanent appointment in MECON Limited. Selected professionals are initially issued an Offer of Appointment for a period of one (01) year, renewable annually up to the advertised contract duration (1 to 5 years) subject to satisfactory performance and company requirements. It does not confer any right to automatic absorption, permanent regularisation, or continuous employment.

Official Eligibility Criteria & Work Experience Rules
1. Mode of Educational Qualification (Clause 4)
The requisite educational qualification must be acquired through Regular / Full-Time Courses only. Certificate courses may be acquired through part-time mode. Degrees/Diplomas must be from recognized Universities/Institutes approved by UGC, AICTE, MCI, or competent statutory bodies.
2. Strict Definition of Work Experience (Clause 5)
- Must be in a full-time job on a regular salary basis in the relevant technical area stipulated against the respective post code.
- For intermittent employment, only actual days engaged in full-time jobs are counted.
- Not Considered: Freelance experience, entrepreneurial experience, articleship, internships, academic projects, teaching, and research experience are strictly excluded.
- Permitted Trainee Periods: Period of on-the-job training as Management Trainee (MT) / Executive Trainee (ET) / Graduate Trainee (GT) in PSUs only is considered. Period of apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act is considered as post-qualification experience.
3. Documentary Evidence Required for Experience (Clause 6)
Past Employment: Work experience certificates indicating date of joining, date of relieving, nature of duties, and specific area of relevance.
Current Employment: Experience certificate or appointment letter/offer letter/ID Card AND proof of continuity i.e. Last 3 months' pay slips from the advertisement date.
Note: Self-declarations regarding the nature or area of experience are strictly rejected.
4. Age Limit & Category Relaxation (Clause 7 & 8)
Upper age limit is generally 50 years as on the cut-off date of 25 September 2026. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as follows:

Pay, Allowances & Contractual Benefits (Clause 3)
Site & Metro Allowances
• Site Allowance: 7.5% of consolidated pay for contract employees posted at site/project locations.
• Metro Allowance: 2.5% of consolidated pay for employees posted at Metro locations.
Annual Increment
Annual increment is 3% of consolidated pay (rounded to the next ten rupees) upon completion of each year, regulated as per company rules.
Medical Facilities
• At Ranchi: OPD/IPD & medicines from Ispat Hospital for self, spouse, and 2 dependent children.
• Other Locations: Free consultation via Retainer Doctor + reimbursement of annual Mediclaim premium up to ₹15,000 (coverage ₹4 Lakh on floater basis).
Accommodation & HRA
Company/client residential accommodation (family/bachelor) may be provided depending upon availability on applicable charges. If not availed, HRA at 5% of consolidated pay is paid.
Leave Entitlement
• Casual Leave: 12 days/year (1 day/month)
• Earned Leave: 18 days/year (accumulated up to 45 days)
• Half Pay Leave: 14 days/year (commutable on medical certificate)

Selection Mode & Interview Travelling Allowance (TA)
The official mode of selection is Personal Interview. There is no written examination. Shortlisted candidates based on scrutinized eligibility will receive call intimations via the MECON website and registered email.
Travelling Allowance (Clause 12):
Outstation candidates appearing for the Personal Interview shall be reimbursed III Tier A/C (3A) / AC Chair Car (CC) by rail OR ₹7 per km by road (whichever is less), on production of tickets and boarding passes. Rail fare will be regular fare (no premium Tatkal/Tatkal).
* If application claims are not substantiated during original document scrutiny on the interview date, the candidate will not be permitted to appear and no TA will be reimbursed.
