Recruitment Selection Process
The selection for APPSC Assistant Executive Engineer posts is purely merit-based and governed by the following sequence:
- Stage 1: Written Examination (CBRT): An objective degree-standard Computer Based Recruitment Test carrying a total of 450 marks across three papers. Performance in this test decides provisional merit.
- Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): A 60-minute practical test of 100 marks. The CPT is strictly qualifying in nature. While marks scored in CPT do not add to the competitive ranking score, failing CPT results in automatic disqualification.
- Stage 3: Verification of Original Certificates: Shortlisted candidates must present their original educational degrees, marks memos, community certificates, study/residence certificates, and disability/ex-servicemen credentials for verification.
- Stage 4: Final Selection & Departmental Allocation: Allocation to posts and zones is finalized based on merit ranking, post preferences, local/non-local reservations, and statutory roster points.
Minimum Qualifying Marks in Written Exam
Note: Securing minimum qualifying marks does not confer a right to appointment; selection is competitive based on notified vacancies and merit.
Written Examination Pattern (450 Objective Marks)
The written examination is conducted in Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode. All questions are objective-type multiple-choice questions of Bachelor's degree standard. There is a penalty of 1/3rd mark deduction for every incorrect answer.
